As part of our in-country training, each volunteer stayed with a family for two weeks. This was the family I lived with (Sompong, his wife and two kids). The little girl in red isn't actually a member of the family, but she was a neighbor's daughter who liked to come and look at me. She never talked, but somehow she was always in the background.
