Former private residence and now museum of Jim Thompson, founder of Jim Thompson Silk. He was an American living in Thailand and made great success reviving the Thai silk industry. He built this house by joining together six traditional teak Thai houses and then making his own modifications. He was also a collector of art and the buildings are filled with artworks and antiques. He died mysteriously in a Malaysian jungle in 1967.
